Sound Designer
RAILRAIN is the final sound design project that I did in my Sound Design II class at The Art Institute of Seattle. My instructor, Chris Delaurenti, an amazing sound artist in his own right, supplied the abstract footage. I love working with abstract visuals and creating soundtracks from a limitless palette of sounds. Even though this project is very abstract, it is one of my favorite works and its sound elements translate very effectively to the commercial side of audio post-production. I endeavored to push the sound in this film to a point where the visuals and sound perfectly supported each other. I wanted this piece to be a very dramatic, in your face, and non-stop. In order to accomplish that and make the film come alive, I had to make the piece as dynamic as possible. This was the last project that I worked on at The Art Institute of Seattle and I can happily say that it brought my sound design work to a new level. It was a great project to make my first step into the real world of post audio.
