Re-Recording Mixer and Sound Editor 

The [206] is a local comedy show featuring local comedians from the Seattle area. The [206] airs on NBC after Saturday Night Live and Sundays after the King 5 11pm news.  The [206] is the successor to the Almost Live! and much of the comedy is related to Seattle events and culture.

For the three seasons that The [206] was in production I was responsible for the final mix and the dialog edit. The time frame of the audio edit and mix is extremely short because many times the shows live audience taping would be the same week the show aired on TV.  Another challenge with mixing this show is that some of the sketches were pre-mixed and it proved to be a task to get the pre-mixed sketches to blend with the final mix of the tapped show. Also since this show is filmed with a live audience that brought a different dynamic in to how I approached mixing this show. There is a fine balance between the on-screen dialog of the show and the crowds reactions. One of the aspects of the show that I love is the broad range of material that you get to work with from standup comedy, to a movie trailer parody, to a band performing, and everything in between.
